Happy Thanksgiving to all…

A few weeks back, I heard about death of Ryan Shay, an elite athlete who died during the Olympic Trials in New York city. Then, I heard of the death of Philadelphia police officer Chuck Cassidy, and was further horrified to find out that he is the uncle of a former work colleague. And, having just run a marathon, I saw my share of ambulances go by and am thankful that none of them were coming along to pick me up.

During this day, I hope to remember that I have health and family, and those are easily the 2 most important things in life. Everything else after that is mostly just the perceived noise that makes up our day.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. For those that have asked, I’ll pass your “thank you” to my grandfather as well.

  1. Great sentiment Gino, knew about the death of Chuck and they had a silence prior to the NY Marathon.

    Respect to you and your familly and of course WBG who served with my dad.
